Decoding and Defining Melanoma

🎉 I am grateful to share that I have secured National Research Foundation (NRF) funding for the next four years (#RS-2026-25469201), following the successful completion of our previous NRF-supported project (#RS-2023-00241779), which focused on the immune ecosystem of canine mucosal and acral melanoma.

🌱 This achievement would not have been possible without the support, guidance, and collaboration of many colleagues and mentors, and I sincerely appreciate their contributions.

🔬 This new project will continue our efforts to define the cellular landscape of neoplastic melanoma cells and melanoma-infiltrating stromal populations, further refining our understanding of the tumor immune microenvironment.

📍 We will investigate the spatial organization of key immune subsets to better understand how their localization shapes anti-tumor immunity in dogs.
